About Me
By day, I manage the prepress department of an international printer, focusing on custom pressure sensitive labels. It doesn’t get more technical than that. When my work hits the presses, it has to be right. It takes an intimate knowledge of the printing process. Learning the skills to meet tight deadlines, build and maintain workflows, troubleshoot, and color correct didn’t happen overnight. It took years and a willingness to learn. It wasn’t always easy, but with more than two decades under my belt, I’ve gotten pretty good at it.
By night, I exercise my creative muscles. Sometimes an idea grabs ahold of me and won’t let go. When that happens, I’ve got to go where it leads. I’ve gone down plenty of rabbit holes—writing, illustration, design, songwriting, animation, podcasting, and more—and there are plenty more to explore.
On top of it all, I’m also a family man. So, if it’s not one of the above, you’ll probably find me hanging out with the wife, kids, and dog. We call the Pacific Northwest our home. Reading, homework, and sports keep us pretty busy. In those brief moments of leisure time, we enjoy hiking, reading, gardening, and watching cartoons. Whatever it is, I’m always seeking inspiration or learning something new, and I’m trying to pass that curiosity and sense of wonder on to the littles (less little by the day).
